Coordinator’s Corner
On May 26th, 2011 the Montana Electrical JATC graduated 40 apprentices at a ceremony held at Jorgenson’s Inn in Helena. The top student for the class, David Carney from Local 233, achieved a 98.4 GPA during his 5 years of related training. We are also happy to report that another graduate, John Wesby from Local 768, scored a perfect 100% on his Montana State licensing exam.
Congratulations to both of these graduates!
As of this writing, the MEJATC is developing a host of CE classes and a schedule for fall and winter. We hope to see something firm by the end of August. We are also engaged in the permitting process for solar photovoltaic installations in Billings, Great Falls, and Kalispell. Work continues on the development of hands-on labs for training in building automation, instrumentation, transformers, rigging, advanced PLC programming, our craft certification booth, and micro-hydro systems.
